What is the Gospel?
The Good News that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh, was crucified for your sin, and rose from the dead conquering the grave. The King of Kings and Lord of Lords who has established His kingdom paid the price for you. All you can do is repent and believe the Gospel. To repent means to change your mind, to turn from your sin. There is nothing you can do to save yourself and realizing that Christ is the only way to salvation and accepting Him as the Lord and Saviour.
This salvation is a gift and may be accepted freely. There is nothing you can do to earn it.
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Romans 10:8-13
To accept it you must confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead.
To confess the Lord Jesus you must accept Him as God in the flesh and accept Him as your Lord.
You must believe that He has raised from death. He has conquered sin and taken the penalty for you.
Only He was able.
Only He was perfect.
And the perfect Man was crucified unjustly. The Lord of heaven and earth willingly died for you.
He then rose on the third day showing the power He has.
All He asks is for you to realize you’re a sinner and to accept Him as your Lord and as your Saviour.
Put your trust in Him.
Naturally all will die in our sins. But Christ came to redeem us.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 3:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:23
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6
Christ came to save sinners.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:16-18
We must repent of our worldly ways. We must except Him as our Lord and Saviour.
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
Titus 2:11-15
If we follow him we are promised salvation
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Romans 1:16-17
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
1 Thessalonians 5:9-11
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
